BEFORE WE BEGIN

Clarity before
commitment.

Practical answers about the advice, training and preparedness I provide.

What does a business continuity consultant do?

A business continuity consultant helps you identify what must keep running, the resources it depends on and how it can recover from disruption. I work with executive and operational teams on business impact analysis, recovery strategies, continuity plans, training and exercises, with practical responsibilities and priorities.

What does crisis management training cover?

My crisis management training prepares boards, executives and operational teams to recognise a developing crisis, activate a response and make coordinated decisions under pressure. Sessions address roles, escalation, leadership, situation reporting, information management and communication, using scenarios relevant to your organisation.

Can you act as a business continuity exercise consultant?

Yes. I design and facilitate business continuity and crisis management exercises around agreed objectives and realistic disruption scenarios. An engagement can include exercise planning, participant preparation, facilitation, a structured debrief and prioritised improvement actions. The format and level of challenge are agreed with you.

What do personal resilience and private resilience mean?

In this practice, personal and private resilience mean preparing for disruption to your everyday life. This includes clear responsibilities, trusted contacts, access to essential information and contingency arrangements at home or overseas. I work directly with individuals, families, private offices and existing advisers.

What does family emergency preparedness include?

Family emergency preparedness can cover how you communicate, where you meet, who takes responsibility and what essential information and supplies you need. I consider children, older relatives and anyone needing additional support, then develop a proportionate family plan and walk through it with the people involved.

Do you offer individual emergency preparedness?

Yes. Individual emergency preparedness is tailored to your circumstances, whether you live alone, travel frequently or spend time overseas. We consider who you would contact, how you would access essential information and the alternative arrangements you could use if normal services or travel were disrupted.

Where do you work with clients?

I am based in Northern Ireland and work with clients in Belfast, across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the wider UK. My 20+ years of international experience also includes the Middle East, China and Hong Kong, and the United States and Canada. Each engagement is scoped personally.
